Im getting a tattoo!

Chuck Long receives a plethora of questions on a daily basis ranging from simple things like “how do you maintain such a chiseled physique Chuck?” to more complex relationship issues like “when is the most appropriate time to unleash your first fart in front of a new boyfriend / girlfriend?”

One question that keeps dropping into the Reality Bytes inbox (rbytes101@yahoo.com.au) from young men around the world is:

“I really want to date / bone an older woman. What are your thoughts Chuck?”

This is a question that needs to be considered from both sides of the equation.

By now most of us would understand the cultural phenomenon of the cougar.

The always credible Urban Dictionary defines cougar as:

A 35+ year old female who is on the "hunt" for a much younger, energetic, willing-to-do-anything male. She may be found in the usual hunting grounds: nightclubs, bars, beaches, etc. She will not play the usual B.S. games that women in their early twenties participate in. "Man is cougar's number one prey"

Look, Chuck Long has always supported the notion that men should never stop trying to get better and by dropping the meat hammer on an older, and what you would assume is a more experienced woman, the talent pool of male love makers should grow and thus enhance the sexual experiences of a generation of younger woman.

From a woman's perspective, if you have hit the 35-50 year old vintage, pumped out some kids or just ditched a thorn-in-the-side husband of 20 years, then you absolutely deserve to have some young buck bounce you around the bedroom. Sure, the sex will still probably last for no more than 5 minutes, its just that he will be able to strap it on for rounds 2 & 3 within the ensuing hour rather than your former husband's 96 hour recovery period.

There is a pride issue from both parties. The young man is able to brag to his boys that he had the game to nail an older woman while the mature lady finds confidence in the fact that she still has the looks and sex appeal to snare a younger male. In reality, it should be the easiest of hook ups – to parties both desperate to snare the other to satisfy their own egos... a win win.

It must be said however that these comings together must be viewed as and remain as hook ups and hook ups only. We all have the grandiose notion of Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher as the ultimate Cougar trapping, but lets be honest, getting into a long term relationship with a cougar is like getting a Southern Cross tattoo at the age of 18. Sure at the time its looks, feels and sounds like a great idea, but in 20 years time when it is a faded and wrinkly mess, the whole concept is an embarrassing mistake.
